Dr Debbie Armstrong qualified from the University of Pretoria in 2009, completed a Diploma in Anaesthetics in 2014, and completed a CDE course for Diabetes. She has been a general practitioner in Pietermaritzburg for more than ten years. Dr Armstrong is particularly interested in geriatrics and mental health. She is passionate about older people and makes house calls at retirement facilities when needed. She is empathetic and understands the complexities of not only the physical needs of patients but also their emotional needs.
Dr Armstrong is an avid musician who has played the cello since age six. She is married and has three children.
